The Ministry of Economy and Industry announced the start of commercial operations at Berth No. 4 in Tartous Port following its handover from the Russian side, marked by the arrival of the first vessel at the berth.
The vessel is carrying a shipment of Clinker for Tartous Cement Company, affiliated with Omran Company. Unloading operations are underway to secure raw materials required for cement production and support continuity in the construction materials sector.
Bringing the berth into commercial operation is expected to increase the port’s operational capacity, improve cargo-handling efficiency, and support maritime shipping and import activities.
