The Syrian General Establishment of Railways – Tartous Branch resumed fuel oil transportation operations from Baniyas Refinery as of October 1, following a suspension of approximately 50 days due to maintenance work at the refinery.
The resumed operations are intended to deliver fuel oil to Zara Thermal Power Station in Hama and Al-Radwaniya Power Station in Aleppo, helping secure the fuel required for electricity generation.
The development highlights the importance of rail transportation in supporting the movement of petroleum products and maintaining supply flows to vital sectors, particularly energy and electricity.
It also demonstrates the role of railway infrastructure in strengthening domestic supply chains and efficiently transporting large volumes of essential materials between production and consumption centers.
At Tayseer Logistics, we continue to follow developments in transportation networks and supply chains across Syria, including changes affecting cargo movement, energy logistics, and transport infrastructure.
